Beautiful Eggs!

Its been so interesting to see the variety of eggs we are getting from our hens.

This is a regular size egg, next to a very very large egg. We have 3 different hens that lay these enormous eggs. So far they have all been double yolks.

A nice variety of colors.

Which hens are laying the huge eggs? I have on Rhode Island Red who lays HUGE eggs.. but the other 3 RIRs lay regular size ones..I can’t figure it out.. perhaps she isn’t a RIR..

    • I am not sure which hens are laying it, I have about 10 different breeds. And since its a brown egg, and all but 2 of my hens lay brown, well, that doesnt help. I was getting them quite frequently, but I havent been lately.
